Cupcakes for K

My dear sweeeeet friend K today turns (insert the number you like)!!! And tonight we’ll party!
I made her this lavender cupcakes I found on one of my favorite blog: thanks so much Chockylit for being a constant source of inspiration! Your cupcakes are gorgeous!!!
The only thing I’ve changed was the decorations (the original one was of course much nicer!!! I’m a real mess!): I added a nice Toulouse violet on top!

And now a food dilemma for you all: why on earth cupcakes are a big hit in the States and back here, in Italy, we don’t even know what are??? They are simple, quick, fancy and you can flavor them with practically anything you want… Why???
As much as why we don’t even know what macarons are… Why???

In my dreams lately I often see a little cake shop in a narrow, old street, with 2 or 3 tables and chairs (may be 2 tables even outside, for spring and summer), the scent of freshly baked goods mixed with the different flavors of the most fragrant teas in the world, people relaxing and chatting, a beating sound coming from the back kitchen, a smiling young Italian woman in the back, decorating cakes…
But that’s just a dream…

    ciao sara, vorrei provare a fare questi cupcakes ma ho qualche dubbio che spero potrai aiutarmi a risolvere:
    -quanto pesa 1 stick butter?
    -al posto della heavy cream va bene la normale panna fresca?
    -il confectioner sugar può essere sostituito da zucchero normale?
    -a quanto corrispondono 350 degrees?
    -solo bianchi e niente tuorli?

    effettivamente anch’io pe ril burro ho dovuto cercar eun po’!
    -quanto pesa 1 stick butter? Uno stick di burro pesa circa 112 g, perciò a te ne serviranno circa 56
    -al posto della heavy cream va bene la normale panna fresca? Certo! In Italia non ce l’abbiamo mica la heavy! Io ho usato quella.
    -il confectioner sugar può essere sostituito da zucchero normale?No, devi mettere lo zucchero a velo, per una questione di consistenza…
    -a quanto corrispondono 350 degrees? corrispondono a 200° C
    -solo bianchi e niente tuorli? Assolutamente SOLO bianchi

    Buon divertimento!!! Sono uno spettacolo!

    stavo pensando se non fosse il caso di provare a fre le cup cakes negli stampini di alluminio usa e getta per i budini, piu’ che altro perche non riesco mai a trovare dei pirottini di carta abbastanza grandi. che ne dici?

    @Pm10: il problema è che le cupcakes si “attaccano” già a quelli di carta, figurati in quelli di alluminio…
    I miei di carta li ho presi all’esselunga (di viale Piave): te ne vendono 200 in una confenzione, ma io li ho presi 6 mesi fa e stanno già finendo…
    Piuttosto imburrerei lla teglia dei muffin… Solo che questi cupcakes sono MOLTO soffici e ariosi: non vorrei che ti si appiciccassero o rompessero…

    Che dilemma!!!
